More stamp carving

i thought i'd post some pictures of other stamps i've carved for whoever's interested.

i didn't have any bird egg stamps, so i thought this was a good choice for carving. This is carved on a white eraser again, image is my own drawing.

These were fun to do! The paisley one at the top is a design from a tea box. The middle is just distressed stripes i sketched out. The bottom is a clip art image. All are carved on erasers.

This is one of my favorites! i was so happy that it turned out so well! This is another clip art image, and the block is the MasterCarve by Staedtler. (Dana - the poppies are on the other side! i'll get a pic of those up soon.)

Well, as always, thanks for looking! Hope everyone has an artful day!

  8. Thanks,Lisa! i think your carvings are fantastic. i remember first seeing the ones you'd done a few years ago and feeling like i could never do that. When i first started carving last year, your work gave me inspiration and confidence to say, "Why now?". And i only tried more intricate because i didn't know better! i've had a few failures, but it's not as difficult as i thought it would be. And since you already have experience (more than me) i say go for it! i know you could do some awesome stuff!
