One idea yields 3 pieces...

Before my current creative block kicked in, i was able to put together the following pieces a few weeks ago. The idea began with a journal page that i then applied to a card (center photo), and finally two ATC's (bottom photo).

This color palette is one of my favorites. i started with some patterned paper with bottles on it (i love bottles, especially old ones) that i traced over with a pen. This makes it look hand-drawn (a little trick i like to use). i then added layers of ink and, in the case of the journal, acrylic paint. To highlight the labels on the jars and to add the water inside, i used watercolors. The card has an acrylic paint/crackle frame.

These were lots of fun to make, and i love how the idea carried from a journal page and fit itself to various incarnations.

Ingredients: CS - stash; PP - My Mind's Eye (?); stamps - Fresh Flower Elements and Writing Set by Clearly Impressed, Tim Holtz's Ultimate Grunge by Stamper's Anonymous, Messy Dates by Autumn Leaves; ink - Ranger Distress Inks, Ranger Archival, Colorbox Pigment; acrylic paint; crackle medium; watercolor paint.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I agree with Dana. These made me feel so wistful, in an almost teary way. I sure wish you lived closer so we could spend a day not talking to each other... y'know? :^) All three of us. *sniff... sigh*
